General Policies
Students are expected to behave in a manner respectful of their teachers and fellow students at all times. A stamp is given to encourage the younger students to give their best effort in class. The teachers will warn students gently about misbehavior first and then follow up with these possible disciplinary actions:
- Students should come prepared to learn in a quiet manner. Students maintain a courteous and positive attitude toward everyone. Refrain from talking during class except when asking a question to the instructor. Talking is allowed if it is part of the educational process. Asking questions is important to the learning process and a welcome, natural part of class.
- No food, drink or gum is permitted in the studio.
- Dance shoes should only be worn inside the studio on the dance floor as they will ruin if worn outside.
- Students should arrive no sooner than 10 minutes prior to class time and be picked up no later than 10 minutes after class time. Notify your instructor of any injuries prior to beginning class.
- Students and parents should conduct themselves in a controlled and quiet manner in the waiting area so that they do not disrupt classes in session.
- No leaning or hanging on the dance barre.
- Please no tap shoes on the gymnastics mats.
- Children in the waiting areas should not be left unsupervised.
- Call the front desk if your child is sick and unable to attend class.
- All students are expected to pay their full monthly tuition regardless of the number of lessons they’ve attended or missed. Lessons missed for personal reasons/choices, injury or illness are not pro-rated or credited and are not refundable or transferable. However, we do provide make-up classes. See lesson make-up information below. Should a student need to miss a large block of time, please make arrangements ahead of time to discuss tuition adjustment.
- ONLY enrolled students are permitted to enter the dance room.
