About Us...
Shine! is dedicated to providing affordable, quality dance, gymnastics, and music instruction. Your children are an important part of your life! Kathy Petersen, the owner of SHINE!, understands the responsibility of providing a dance and music studio that agrees with your standards. Parents are welcome to stay during the classes and to give encouragement each week. This is a place for students to achieve lasting benefits and to make wonderful friendships. Kathy’s career as a teacher spans over forty five years. She has worked with and had a positive impact on hundreds of children in the Hemet Valley and actually has some "Third-generation" students now! Kathy has owned "SHINE! Music & Dance" for nineteen years, "Kathy's School of Dance" for 10 years, has been teaching in the Valley since 1978....(and taught in Orange County from 1965 to 1978). Here you will find a good blend of business and personal relationships. Shine! Music & Dance Studio is an encouraging, exciting, cheerful, non-competitive, and non-pressuring experience for children and youth and has a wholesome Christian atmosphere where EVERY STUDENT IS IMPORTANT AND EVERY STUDENT "SHINES"! (Shine! does not promote elite teams and extra expenses including high-cost competitions, costumes, make up, hair stylists, and travel). The year culminates with an annual Dance Showcase Performance that is free for family and friends to attend.
